Competitive Intelligence (CI)

Competitive Intelligence (CI) is the analysis of the business market to understand what is happening, what will happen and what it means for the business. CI's business objectives can be offensive: to position the company in the market, chart the course for future positioning, and allocate resources in the short and long term. Goals can also be defensive: knowing what's going on, what might happen, and how to respond.
