My A1C hemoglobin is 5.9%. My fasting blood sugar is 98 mg / dl. I am 29 years old. Am I on the verge of diabetes? 3

Diabetes is in my family. My father is on dialysis for heart failure due to his diabetes. I feared that my H A1C would reach 6.0 and I would be diagnosed with diabetes.

I weigh 215 pounds and seem to be in very good shape (mostly muscular). I like to eat all foods including fruits, vegetables, beef / chicken, rice, mutton etc. During my H A1C updates over the last three years, I shouldn't have realized this because it felt good. Should I be upset? Because of this I could barely sleep.

Normal fasting blood sugar

Normal fasting blood sugar (also known as blood sugar which is commonly seen as food) is:

83 mg / dL (4.6 mmol / L) or less.

Many normal fasting people have a blood sugar level between 70 mg / dl (3.9 mmol / l) and 70 mg / dl.

Fasting HbA1c and blood sugar are in the upper normal range. That is why your doctor has prescribed it to you.

As mentioned earlier, being a close relative increases your risk of developing diabetes at some point in your life.

Is it just a troll town with all the positive comments? My A1C is 5.3% with an average plasma glucose level of 111 mg / dL. I have a family history of diabetes, although my parents are not diabetic (nor have they been alcoholics for the past 25 years). My doctor and blood test results show that I have a lower risk of developing diabetes. This does not mean that you can eat and drink foods that are high in fructose corn syrup daily. In fact, I practically eliminated grams of sugar from my daily intake.
